Beam is working in partnership with Una Más Una to provide unique creative and practical work placements. Each placement will include an average of 30 hours work for a host organisation and incorporates the development of a personal project.
The placements have been allocated to those working in the fields of arts, culture, and creative industries, cinema, literature, music, arts management, visual and performing arts, design, architecture, and urban design. EU citizens resident in the UK and part of the labour market (including graduates).
Participants will spend 10 weeks in Madrid with Spanish employers (Hosts) starting in January or April 2014. In addition to the work placements, support will be provided to assist the development of language skills. The programme covers the costs of travel to and from Spain, accommodation in Madrid and a modest allowance towards subsistence costs.
The programme is more than a work placement, and in particular we have recruited individuals who wanted to immerse themselves in the culture of Spain and give as much to their colleagues and to their hosts as they receive.
